Utah contractor license lookup by name?
Use the same DOPL site for the contracting business, choosing the contractor profession rather than an individual electrician category. Before searching, ask for the exact name used for the contract. A qualifier is a separate consideration from the contracting entity. DOPL’s FAQ distinguishes the company holding the contractor credential from its qualifier. Keep that distinction in mind when someone supplies only a worker's name rather than the business name on the proposed agreement.

For the contractor credential, DOPL's FAQ gives these timing rules. They concern the contractor and qualifier, rather than an electrician renewal deadline:

Utah master electrician license lookup?
For a master credential, narrow the Utah form to the relevant electrician category. It lists "Master Electrician Residential Journeyman Electrician Residential Master Electrician". Preserve the distinction between the master and residential master labels when you select the search filter; do not shorten every category to a generic electrician description. The form also carries a DOPL notice about changes to probation terminology. Read that notice alongside the status wording you encounter. It does not establish the status of any contractor, and this guide offers no finding about a particular record.

DOPL explains: "The Division of Professional Licensing’s Disciplinary Actions and Citations search allows users to search an entity name, license number, or individual’s name to discover any disciplinary actions and/or citations connected to an individual or entity."
