What is a junction box?
A junction box is an enclosure for electrical wire joins, called splices. In home weatherization, Standard Work Specifications 2.0301.1 calls for enclosing splices and covering junction boxes with products suited to the location. For a new or altered connection, have the electrician specify enclosure capacity, cover and future access.
