There are four options to search by: permit number, project information, location, or people associated with the permit. Links are provided within the returned search results to view specific details on the selected permit.

Do I need a permit for a fence in Bellevue?
Bellevue distinguishes the fence-height permit threshold from the front-yard setback restriction. A fence height that falls below the permit threshold does not remove the setback issue described by the city. Its Fences subsection gives both conditions together.
A permit is not required for a fence unless it is over eight feet tall. However, fences over 4½ feet often cannot be located in front-yard setbacks.

What work does not need a permit in Bellevue?
Bellevue lists a size-based exemption for detached storage sheds, play houses and private gazebos, while retaining land-use conditions. Cabinet and countertop replacement has a separate building-permit exemption, with possible plumbing or electrical permits where those trades are involved. These examples carry different conditions.

How much is a permit and how long does it take in Bellevue?
The city’s BT remodel page describes a possible plan-review turnaround when a field inspector finds that a project exceeds the permit’s scope. That conditional review interval is different from the deadlines to begin and finish construction, which the city measures from permit issuance.
If the field inspector determines that your project exceeds the scope of a BT permit, you will be required to submit plans for review. Plan review may involve a three-week turnaround time and a plan review fee will be accessed.
