Status: Active (as of 23 October 2026, www.nyserda.ny.gov):

The program is open to income-eligible owners and renters of one- to four-family households.

Funding toward the cost of energy efficiency improvements, including air sealing, insulation, heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and electrical service and wiring upgrades.

2. Create a profile on the MyEnergy Portal and complete an EmPower+ Program application.

4. Your EmPower+ contractor will set up at time to perform the home energy assessment.

5. Following the home energy assessment, your contractor will submit recommendations for energy improvements to EmPower+ for review.

Home Electrification Appliance Rebate (HEAR) has additional incentives that income-eligible New Yorkers can receive through EmPower+ to make their homes more comfortable and energy efficient.
