How much will a kitchen renovation cost?

The survey asks only whether the household "Remodeled kitchen" and what it cost. It records no scope, so new cabinet doors and a full gut-and-rebuild are the same item, and both ends of that spectrum are inside the range above.

Kitchens are often a do-it-yourself job: 59 percent of the kitchen remodels with a reported cost were hired out, against 87 percent of roofing jobs in the same survey.
